When Vanity Runs.

The Batam trip was a success! Friendships made to the happiness brought to the orphans were all priceless. Everyone had fun, I suppose. Well, I did. :D

Day 1
Left for Harbourfront center. Checked in and off to the ferry. Apparently the journey there was a blast with the company of Phyllis and Jo. Even the front row people could hear us laughing the whole time from the back, heh. Reached and had lunch. Lunch was alrights, and they served cow lungs lah, bleh. Went to the hotel and it was better than what I expected. Packed the goody bags, had dinner, prayer session-ed and back to Gwen, Audrey and Eunice room and yadahed. Slept after which.

Day 2
Left for a 1 hour journey to St Ignatius orphanage at 8am. Reached and played with the kids. Had KFC for lunch. Oh, and we spotted the handsome and pretty in the orphanage. The kids were adorable please. Had P&W session too. It was so emotional when they started coming to us and shaking hands saying thank you. So awww lah. And they were damn cute when they sang it with us cause its like they were damn high and all. Back to the hotel, bathed, dinnered, prayer session-ed and back to the hotel again where Phyllis and I were having our own personal movie screening. So fun lah. Slept after which.

Day 3
Went to St Peter's church to give our donation. Phyllis and Audrey kept playing with that cute chubby boy, haha. Did gardening, played with the kids, had an awesome lunch and left for shopping. Shopped like some mad freak. Had dinner and everyone was going crazy cause the food was spicy. Back to the hotel, blablabla, and slept. Oh and yes, our room leader pissed us off too. Irritating pok.

Day 4
Went to some church to have mass. There was this guy that danced so cute-ly lah. Mass was in Indo lingo, damn blur. And Jospeh say when I don't smile I look fierce, huh! Haha. This indonesian girl became Avril, Sheena and my penpal. Total coolness. Painted and all of us were using the roller brush thing as a massaging kit. Had fun painting. Had lunch and yes, I spotted a butt-toucher, yicks! P&W with the kids and had A&W for snack. Shopped and ferry-ed back to Singapore. :D

This trip has made me realise how fortunate I have been. How silly I was to always complained that I never had the best in life. Despite the orphans living in bad conditions of only sweet potato and corns for survival, they were happy. Much happier than the girl that lives well off. And whats more, the sunburns that I have now means nothing. I'm far better than those having boils on their head isnt it. This trip has enlightened me, WOOHOO! :D
